Step 1: Download & Install Advanced File Recovery

To get started, download Advanced File Recovery on your Windows PC. Then, double click the .exe file and follow on-screen instructions to install it on your PC.

Step 2: Select Files Location

From the home screen, select the location that you wish to scan. Thereafter, select the scanning type if you had no clue when the data was deleted, use Deep Scan to scan the computer thoroughly.

Step 3: Select File Type to Recover

Now select the file type you wish to scan the PC for and recover the file. Once the scanning is done, you will see a list of all deleted files.

Step 4: Scan and Preview Results

When the scanning is done, preview the list of recoverable files categorized into All files, Photos, Audio, Documents, Images, and Other Files. Preview the files and select the ones you would like to get back. You can sift through each file individually or use the Search File Name feature to locate a file.

Step 5: Restore Deleted Files

To recover selected files, click the RECOVER NOW button and select the location where you want to save the data. Do not save the recovered file on the same partition that you are scanning; this will overwrite data, reducing the chances of data recovery.
